I’d like you to meet my Nursery Manager, Megan Simmonds. You’ll have to excuse the photograph – Megan hates

having her picture taken and this is the only one I could find! As soon as I can get a better one – I’ll post it up here!

Please don’t be put off by her age – Megan might only be 21, but she has been working in and around childcare for the last 5 years! After leaving Bishop Luffa she attended Chichester College and there she gained her CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Child Care and Early Education. She then decided that this was not enough, and for the last three years she has been working in schools and nurseries as part of her degree, a BA (Hons) in Primary Education with Advanced Study of Early Years Degree! This makes her a level 6 practitioner – which is fantastic for me and the children she will be looking after. Although watch this space, because not content with just her degree, Megan is considering completing her Early Years Professional Status to ensure she is providing the best possible care and curriculum for your children!

Outside of work hours, Megan is also very actively involved with The Scout Association and currently she is a District Leader specifically responsible for International. She also helps out with the Explorer Scouts who are 14-18 years old and supports them in becoming young leaders, by finding them younger children to work with supporting them in their growth and development as leaders. I love it because if I’m a good Bear – I sometimes get to go camping with them!

As I mentioned before, Megan is getting married to her Prince Charming this summer and after the 14th August she will be Mrs Clark! I am very much looking forward to attending the wedding and will have plenty of photographs to show the children in September!
