Teddy Wilf’s Nursery School

Our Parklands Nursery is a pack away setting based in St Wilfrid’s Church Community Hall in the Parklands area of Chichester and over the years the team have perfected the set up to create a wonderful nursery environment. We provide sessional care for up to 26 children from 2 years  to 4 years old; offering a Pre-School learning experience for children, helping to prepare them for School and the challenges beyond. It is open from 9:00am – 3:30pm on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and from 9:00am – 12:00pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays, during term time only.

The nursery has a carpeted reading area, a round table for sociable snack times, a creative area including a messy play tray, an investigation area for lots of mathematical and science based learning, a construction area, a small world area and most importantly a large role play area. The Nursery also benefits from a large, secure all weather garden which is accessible from the main hall and boasts a wobbly bridge, storytelling chair, balance beam, Wendy House and outdoor chalk board and paint easel and plenty of space for zooming around on our bikes and scooters!

We have four full time, experienced, Early Years Practitioner based in our Pre-School. Our current team have over 19 years service with Teddy Wilf’s between them and many more years in childcare! Jan is our Nursery Supervisor and is charge of the day to day logistics, supported closely by Rachael and Megan, and works alongside Sheila, Charlotte and Alison. They are all involved with the day to day running of the room and spend their time having lots of fun with the children whilst taking detailed observations of the children, assessing their development, planning for their needs and next steps and supporting them where necessary.
